by Mark Strand 1 We are reading the story of our lives which takes place in a room. The room looks out on a street. There is no one there, no sound of anything. The tress are heavy with leaves, the parked cars never move. We keep turning the pages, hoping for something, something like mercy or change, a black line that would bind us or keep us apart. I have been writing, though I don't know if it's devolving (I don't believe a person can devolve, however, perhaps, the things we do can). Still, considering it as a profession is a far-fetched idea. I'm a few months shy away from graduation and I want to welcome the idea of going on a volunteer mission sponsored by the school to help the poor people of my country (They say those born in March are quite idealistic.) And from there, I do want to write some more, six months aren't bad enough to know what to want and what to need to do. Should I consider getting a degree on Creative Writing or obtain a masteral on Film? Oh. This lady, Kanon W
